Home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas, Bwindi offers one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife encounters. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family, with one hour spent observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat once located.

Following the trek and lunch, depart Bwindi and proceed to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park. The scenic drive, including border crossing formalities at either the Cyanika or Katuna/Gatuna border, typically takes approximately 4 hours, depending on the sector of Bwindi visited and border clearance times.
