Day 1

Tsavo East – Endless Plains & Red Elephants

Tsavo East – Endless Plains & Red Elephants

Your safari begins with a scenic drive to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya's largest wildlife sanctuary. Unlike its sister park, Tsavo East features vast, open landscapes with thinly scattered foliage, making animal spotting remarkably easy despite the dry terrain. The Galana River cuts through the park, sustaining pockets of life. Upon arrival, you settle in for lunch at your mid-range lodge. The afternoon unveils a spectacular game drive where you may encounter the famous "red elephants" – giants coated in the park's distinctive reddish dust. Look for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and vast herds of zebras and buffaloes. As dusk falls over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay under starry skies.

Day 2

Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

After a morning exploration of Tsavo East's eastern reaches, you enjoy a picnic lunch before crossing into Tsavo West National Park. This section offers more varied terrain – from volcanic cones to lava flows. The crown jewel is Mzima Springs, where an astonishing 227 million litres of crystal-clear water bubble up daily from porous volcanic rocks. This underground river, believed to originate from the Chuyulu Hills, fills series of pools where you can spot hippos submerged and crocodiles basking on banks. An underwater observation chamber provides a unique window into this aquatic world. Afternoon game drives reveal leopards, rhinos, and rare lesser kudus. You settle into your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Amboseli – Kilimanjaro's Elephant Kingdom

Amboseli – Kilimanjaro's Elephant Kingdom

An early departure takes you from Tsavo West to the legendary Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you check into your mid-range accommodation and enjoy lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax or explore the lodge's surroundings. Amboseli sits on an ancient dry lake bed, its fragile grasslands dotted with acacia woodlands and rocky volcanic hills. The swamps of Ol Tukai, Enkongo Narok, and Ol Okenya burst with lush yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. This is the realm of Africa's largest elephant herds – over 1,600 individuals. As the sun lowers, the majestic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro towers above the plains, creating Africa's most iconic postcard view. Dinner and overnight are enjoyed at your lodge.

Day 4

Amboseli – Final Game Drive & Nairobi Return

Amboseli – Final Game Drive & Nairobi Return

Your final day begins with a sunrise game drive across Amboseli's misty plains. Watch as the first light touches Kilimanjaro's snow-capped summit, turning the peak golden. Elephants emerge from the swamps, their massive forms silhouetted against the mountain. Herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles spread across the grasslands. This is your last chance to photograph the giants – elephants, buffaloes, and perhaps even a lion on the hunt. After a final breakfast, you depart for Nairobi with a delicious lunch served along the way. You arrive in Kenya's capital during the late afternoon, where you are dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your Giant's Trail adventure.
