Day 1

After an early breakfast, meet your driver-guide and depart from Entebbe for Murchison Falls NP, Uganda's largest and most celebrated wildlife reserve. Along the way, you'll make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you'll have the opportunity to observe the endangered white rhinos in their natural habitat while learning about ongoing conservation efforts.

After lunch, continue your journey north through the scenic countryside towards Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, visit the top of the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging over 40 meters into the gorge below, creating a breathtaking display of power and beauty.

Thereafter, proceed to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay as you prepare for the wildlife adventures ahead.

Game Drive and Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

Rise early for a morning game drive across the vast savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park, when wildlife is most active. Accompanied by your guide, search for a variety of animals including elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and, with some luck, leopards. The park is also home to numerous bird species, making it a rewarding experience for bird enthusiasts.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a memorable boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, enjoy close-up sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an abundance of water birds. The cruise offers excellent photographic opportunities and spectacular views of the falls from below.

After the boat safari, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you'll depart Murchison Falls National Park and embark on a scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you'll enjoy ever-changing landscapes characterized by rolling green hills, expansive tea estates, banana plantations, traditional homesteads, and vibrant rural communities. This drive offers an excellent opportunity to experience Uganda's countryside and observe local life as you travel through different regions of the country.

A lunch stop will be made en route before continuing towards the park. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or early evening and check in for relaxation. If time permits, you may head out for an evening game drive to search for wildlife as the sun sets over the savannah before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimp trekking. Accompanied by experienced guides, you'll search for habituated chimpanzees while listening to their calls. In addition to chimpanzees, the forest is home to several other primate species, colorful butterflies, and a variety of birdlife, making the trek a rewarding wildlife experience. Once the chimpanzees are located, you'll spend one hour observing their behavior and social interactions in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return for lunch before heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. Enjoy close-up sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species gathering along the shores. Following the cruise, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, a remote wilderness area famous for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through the open savannah and fig tree-dotted landscape as you search for these remarkable cats, often seen resting on the branches of large trees. Along the way, you may also encounter elephants, buffaloes, topis, Uganda kobs, and various bird species.

Following the game drive, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. The scenic drive takes you through rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and picturesque rural communities in southwestern Uganda.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon or early evening and take time to relax while enjoying the tranquil forest surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in preparation for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Meet with the Gorillas in Bwindi – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers before setting off into the dense rainforest for an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, hike through the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas' location and the terrain. Once found, you will spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom, play, and interact in their natural habitat.

Following the trek, return to have lunch before departing for the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. The drive takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, offering scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa" due to its terraced hills and breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your lakeside lodge and spend the remainder of the day relaxing.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the scenic shores of Lake Bunyonyi and begin your journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy a leisurely drive through Uganda's picturesque countryside, passing rolling hills, rural villages, and vibrant local communities along the way.

A stop will be made at the Uganda Equator crossing, where you can take memorable photographs, witness the famous water demonstration, and browse a selection of local craft shops for souvenirs. Lunch will be served en route before continuing your journey.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the late afternoon or evening, depending on traffic and your preferred drop-off location, marking the end of your Uganda safari.
