The Central Serengeti (Seronera Area) is the heart of Serengeti National Park and one of the best wildlife-viewing destinations in Africa. Known as the Seronera region, this area is famous for its year-round abundance of animals, making it an ideal safari destination regardless of the season.

Central Serengeti is characterized by vast open plains dotted with kopjes (granite rock formations), scattered acacia trees, and the permanent Seronera River, which provides a reliable water source. This combination of water, grasslands, and shelter supports a dense population of wildlife throughout the year, unlike other areas that are more seasonal.

Ngorongoro conservation area

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most extraordinary safari destinations and a true natural wonder. Formed millions of years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, the crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, measuring about 20 kilometers wide with steep walls rising over 600 meters from the crater floor.

What makes Ngorongoro Crater exceptional is its incredible concentration of wildlife within a relatively small area. The crater floor is home to more than 25,000 large animals, offering some of the most reliable game viewing in Tanzania. Visitors have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare and endangered black rhino—often within a single game drive.

The landscape inside the crater is remarkably diverse.
