Game drive in lake manyara national park
Lake Manyara is also well known for its large troops of baboons, which are among the most numerous and active in Tanzania. Visitors often encounter these primates near the park entrance and throughout the forested areas. In addition, the park supports elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, wildebeest, and various antelope species. The diversity of habitats allows for a wide range of wildlife within a relatively small area.
One of the park’s most unique attractions is its population of tree-climbing lions. Unlike typical lions that rest on the ground, these lions are often seen lounging in the branches of acacia trees, a behavior that has made Lake Manyara one of the best places in Africa to observe this rare phenomenon. The reasons for this behavior are not fully understood, but it adds a distinctive charm to the park’s wildlife experience. After finish the game drive you will transfer to the marera valley lodge for overnight stay.

Serengeti national park
Serengeti national park
Serengeti National Park is one of the most renowned wildlife conservation areas in the world, celebrated for its vast landscapes, rich biodiversity, and the spectacular natural phenomenon known as the Great Migration. Located in northern Tanzania, the park covers approximately 14,750 square kilometers and forms part of a larger ecosystem that extends into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. Its name is derived from the Maasai word “Siringit,” meaning “endless plains,” which perfectly reflects the park’s sweeping grasslands that stretch to the horizon.
The park is most famous for the Great Migration, one of the most extraordinary wildlife spectacles on Earth. Each year, more than 1.5 million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, move in a continuous cycle across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water.

Game drive in central serengeti national park
Game drive in central serengeti national park
One of the defining features of Central Serengeti is its exceptionally high concentration of predators. The region is particularly known for its large populations of lions, often seen resting on kopjes or hunting across the plains. Leopards are frequently spotted in the riverine forests along the Seronera River, while cheetahs roam the open grasslands in search of prey. Spotted hyenas are also common, contributing to the dynamic predator-prey interactions that make this area so exciting for visitors.
In addition to predators, Central Serengeti supports a wide variety of herbivores, including zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffaloes, and several species of antelope such as impalas, gazelles, and hartebeests. Although the Great Migration moves through different parts of the Serengeti at various times of the year, large numbers of animals can still be seen in this region even when the main herds have moved on.
