Day 1
Machame Gate

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Machame Gate for registration and to meet your mountain crew. Your trek begins through the lush rainforest, surrounded by towering trees, birdlife, and colobus monkeys. The trail is gradual but steady, and after approximately 5–6 hours of hiking, you arrive at Machame Camp for dinner and your first overnight in tents.

Day 2
Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Leaving the rainforest behind, the landscape transitions into moorland with expansive views of the mountain. The trek is moderate and scenic, allowing time for acclimatization. After 4–5 hours, you reach Shira Camp, where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

This is a key acclimatization day. You ascend toward Lava Tower (high altitude) before descending to Barranco Camp (lower altitude), following the “climb high, sleep low” principle. The terrain becomes more rugged with alpine desert scenery. After lunch near Lava Tower, you descend to Barranco Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp (via Karanga Camp)

The day begins with the climb up the Barranco Wall—a non-technical but steep scramble with impressive views. You then continue across valleys to Karanga Camp for a short rest and lunch before proceeding to Barafu Camp. This is a longer and more demanding day due to the combined stages. Upon arrival at Barafu, you will have an early dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt.
Day 5
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Your summit push begins just after midnight. You ascend slowly to Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating at the summit, you descend back to Barafu for a short rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

After breakfast, you descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Upon arrival, you will receive your summit certificates before being transferred back to your hotel, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
