While renowned for the spectacular Great Migration from July to October, the Mara is a premier, year-round destination where the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo—can be spotted at any time of the year. Return to the lodge by 6:30 pm for dinner and your overnight stay.

Look forward to spotting magnificent lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and black rhinos, alongside massive pods of hippos and crocodiles resting along the river structures. The plains are teeming with Masai giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topis, warthogs, and various antelopes like impalas, gazelles, and waterbucks. Bird enthusiasts can spot ostriches, storks, and falcons.
A visit to a traditional Maasai village is available as an optional for an extra cost. You will return to Masai Mara Sopa Lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy the property facilities before dinner.

Check out after breakfast and depart the Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park, a spectacular soda lake nestled on the Great Rift Valley floor. Arrive in good time for a fresh lunch and check-in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Lake Nakuru is globally renowned for its exceptional birdlife, hosting over 400 species, including seasonal flocks of flamingos that fringe the shores in vibrant pink. The afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the resort's beautiful, manicured grounds and facilities. To enhance your experience, iconic local excursions like a scenic boat safari to view hippos or a guided walking safari among wildlife on Crescent Island are available as an optional for an extra cost. Depart the resort soon after breakfast and journey across the scenic Great Rift Valley plains toward Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for a fresh lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Take a brief rest before leaving the lodge at 3:30 pm for an evening game drive that runs from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm. You will be amazed by the famous, massive herds of free-ranging elephants that roam the park's swamps. With four of the Big Five residing here alongside abundant plains game, you can expect an exceptional wildlife viewing experience framed by the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
An optional for an extra cost night game drive can be arranged for those wanting to spot nocturnal species. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out to experience a final morning game drive from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, a prime window when the wildlife is most active before the afternoon heat sets in. This is also your best opportunity to capture stunning photos of Mount Kilimanjaro when the morning skies are clearest.
Following the game drive, depart Amboseli National Park for the journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the capital by mid-afternoon, where your driver-guide will drop you off directly at your city hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward flight. An optional for an extra cost lunch stop or city excursion can be arranged in Nairobi depending on your flight schedule.
