Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping briefly at a viewpoint to admire the escarpment and take photographs. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its thriving populations of black and white rhinos and offers excellent opportunities to spot lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, zebras, impalas, baboons and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The alkaline lake also attracts numerous bird species including pelicans, cormorants and flamingoes when conditions are favourable. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit the park before proceeding to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Travel through Narok town and the Maasai plains arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After a short rest, depart for an afternoon game drive across the rolling grasslands of the Maasai Mara. The reserve is home to vast populations of wildlife including elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, hyenas and numerous antelope species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full day game viewing adventure. Explore different regions of the reserve in search of the Big Five. Your guide will track wildlife movements and take you to the best viewing locations. Along the way, encounter large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and gazelles. Visit the famous Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waters year-round. During the migration season thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross the river in one of nature's most remarkable spectacles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area within the reserve before continuing with game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
