Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet your guide from Ga Gorilla Safaris and begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. En route, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino tracking experience, offering a chance to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot. Afterward, enjoy a late lunch at Kabalega Dinners Restaurant before continuing to the park.

Murchison Falls is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Upon arrival, you will visit the Top of the Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically into the river below, creating one of the world's most powerful waterfalls. After enjoying the spectacular views and taking photographs, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip to the Base of the Falls

Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive across the northern sector of the park. Look out for some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, and, with luck, leopards. You may also encounter Rothschild’s giraffes, warthogs, bushbucks, waterbucks, and several antelope species roaming the savannah.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before setting off for an afternoon boat safari to the base of the spectacular falls. This three-hour cruise is one of the park’s most memorable experiences, offering close views of large hippo pods, Nile crocodiles, and a rich variety of water birds along the riverbanks. As you approach the thunderous falls, you will have excellent opportunities for photography, so keep your camera ready.

After the boat cruise, enjoy a leisurely game drive back to the lodge, providing another chance to spot wildlife before the day comes to an end.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park, a scenic journey through Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Along the way, you will pass rolling hills dotted with lush tea estates and expansive banana plantations, offering a glimpse into the country’s agricultural landscape. A stop will be made at one of the picturesque tea plantations, where you can stretch your legs, take photographs, and enjoy the stunning views before continuing to your lodge near Kibale Forest. Upon arrival, you will check in, relax, and prepare for the exciting chimpanzee trekking experience awaiting you the following day.

After breakfast, you will set out for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale National Park, often referred to as the primate capital of East Africa. Accompanied by an experienced ranger guide, you will walk through the forest in search of habituated chimpanzees, our closest living relatives. Kibale is also home to several other primate species, including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys, making the trek a rewarding wildlife experience.

After the trek, you will enjoy lunch before continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will head out for a thrilling night game drive, offering opportunities to spot nocturnal wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, civets, and bush babies. If time permits, you may also enjoy an evening game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an exciting morning game drive across its vast savannah plains and well-maintained tracks. The park is famous for its rich biodiversity, including large populations of hippos, elephants, and buffaloes, along with giraffes, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. You may also spot predators such as lions, leopards, civets, genets, and serval cats, while baboons and black-and-white colobus monkeys are commonly seen in the trees.

After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will observe hippos, crocodiles, and numerous water birds at close range.

After an early breakfast, you will set off for a morning search for the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the few places in Africa where lions are often seen resting in fig trees. After this unique wildlife experience, you will continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Bwindi is a world-renowned sanctuary for mountain gorillas, home to nearly half of the global population, including several habituated families available for trekking. After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. The forest is rich, dense, and beautifully rugged, with steep landscapes and winding trails that lead you deep into the gorilla habitat. Trekking time varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, but the reward is a magical encounter once you find them.

You will spend a precious hour observing these gentle and endangered giants in their natural environment, a truly rare and moving experience. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, where you will arrive in the evening, check in at your accommodation, unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the lake’s peaceful scenery.
