After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel north through scenic countryside and the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Arriving in the afternoon, check into your lodge and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this freshwater lake, known for its rich birdlife and resident hippo population. Later, embark on an optional boat ride across the lake, gliding past pods of hippos while spotting fish eagles, cormorants, kingfishers, and pelicans. You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided nature walk among freely roaming giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes.
