Boat Transfer to Gombe & Chimpanzee Trekking Adventure

Your adventure begins with a scenic boat transfer from Kigoma across the sparkling waters of Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park. As you approach the park, lush forested mountains rising from the lakeshore offer a spectacular welcome to this world-renowned chimpanzee sanctuary.

Upon arrival, complete park formalities and receive a briefing from experienced guides before setting off on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure through the tropical rainforest. Follow forest trails in search of habituated chimpanzee families and enjoy the rare opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, enjoy lunch while admiring beautiful lake views. Later, explore the park on a guided nature walk, where you may encounter baboons, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and colorful birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the forest and Lake Tanganyika.

Morning with Nature & Scenic Boat Transfer

Wake up to the sounds of birdsong and enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a final forest excursion. Depending on park conditions and your interests, this may include a second chimpanzee trek, a guided forest walk, or time spent exploring the scenic lakeshore.

The morning offers another opportunity to appreciate the park's rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Enjoy panoramic views of the forest-covered mountains descending into the clear blue waters of Lake Tanganyika, one of the world's deepest freshwater lakes.

After the excursion, return to the lodge for refreshments before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, board your boat for the journey back to Kigoma. As you cruise along the shoreline, take in the final views of Gombe's pristine forests and reflect on the extraordinary wildlife encounters and natural beauty experienced during your safari.
