Day 2

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart at 0730 hrs for the iconic Maasai Mara. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome at your lodge followed by lunch.
In the afternoon, set out for an exciting game drive (1600–1800 hrs), a time when the reserve comes alive as predators begin their nightly hunt. As the temperature cools and the sky transforms into stunning shades of red, gold, and orange, you may encounter lions on the prowl, giraffes gracefully moving across the plains, or hyenas competing over a fresh kill.

Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of the magnificent Maasai Mara. You may choose between morning and afternoon game drives with a return to the lodge for lunch, or opt for a full-day game drive (0730–1530 hrs) with a packed picnic lunch to make the most of your time in the reserve.
Accompanied by your experienced guide, traverse the vast savannahs in search of the iconic “Big Five” – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros – while gaining insights into the Mara’s rich ecosystems. Witness fascinating interactions between predators and prey, observe large herds of grazing animals, and, if lucky, spot a cheetah in action.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing one-hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, check out and transfer to Emali SGR train station to board your first-class train to Mombasa.
