Kigali History, Faith and reconciliation

After breakfast, spend the day discovering Kigali's most significant landmark, the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful place of remembrance and reflection that provides important insight into Rwanda’s history and remarkable journey of reconciliation. Later, visit Saint Michael Cathedral, one of the country's most important Catholic churches. The afternoon is left free for relaxation or personal reflection before returning to your hotel. Kabgayi and Huye

Depart Kigali and travel south to Kabgayi, considered the birthplace of the Catholic Church in Rwanda. Here, you will visit the historic Kabgayi Basilica and explore the rich religious heritage of the area. After lunch, continue to Huye, Rwanda’s intellectual and cultural center, where you will visit the Ethnographic Museum, home to the country's finest collection of cultural and historical artifacts. Kibeho Pilgrimage Experience

Today is dedicated entirely to the Shrine of Our Lady of Kibeho, the only Vatican-approved Marian apparition site in Africa. Attend Holy Mass, visit the apparition grounds, and spend time in prayer, meditation, and spiritual reflection. The peaceful atmosphere of Kibeho offers a unique opportunity for renewal and contemplation. Overnight in Kibeho.

After breakfast, begin the journey to Eastern Rwanda, enjoying scenic views of the country's famous rolling hills along the way. The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax at your lodge and enjoy the tranquil natural surroundings in preparation for the following day's safari. Overnight near Akagera National Park.
