Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel. Drive north through Kenya’s central highlands, passing coffee and tea plantations, and cross the Equator at Nanyuki. Continue through scenic semi-arid landscapes before arriving at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch and check-in at Samburu Intrepids Luxury Tented Camp. After a short rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, the lifeline of the reserve. This area attracts elephants, crocodiles, lions, giraffes, and abundant birdlife. The dramatic scenery of rocky hills, doum palms, and open plains sets the tone for your safari. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp depending on your schedule.
