Arrive at Inyati Game Lodge, Sabi Sand

On arrival at Skukuza Airport, a private transfer will be waiting to take you to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve for your three-night stay at Inyati Game Lodge. Set on the Sand River in the western Sabi Sand, Inyati is an established lodge with a loyal following. Most rooms face the gardens and the river, and with no fence along the riverbank, wildlife moves freely past the lodge throughout the day and night.

Inyati is a house hold name in the Sabi Sands, providing a classic safari experience for over 40 years. Their 2026 refurbishment introduced several major upgrades across the property including a new swimming pool and the central lodge spaces were completely reimagined. The bar, lounge, and outdoor areas were updated to create a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. Each ensuite chalet was refreshed with updated interiors, modern furniture, a new bathroom and new lighting to enhance comfort.

Families are welcome at Inyati with a few rooms offering extra beds.

Game Drives in the Sabi Sand

At Inyati Game Lodge, their safari field guides and trackers are the heart and soul of your wildlife experience. Your day begins before sunrise with an early morning game drive as the bush comes to life. The Sabi Sand operates open vehicles with dedicated rangers and trackers. Leopard sightings here are among the most consistent in Africa. Return to the lodge for a late brunch and a midday rest, followed by a sumptuous high tea, before heading out again on your evening drive, running into darkness with spotlights.

No two drives in the Sabi Sand are the same. Your next day offers another morning and evening out in the reserve, looking for elephant, lion, buffalo and rhino, which are all regularly seen alongside the leopard for which this reserve is famous.

Walking safaris with an armed guide are an exciting way to see the reserve and you can even try your hand at fishing in the river.

Depart Sabi Sand

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, your private transfer will take you to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your onward flight. This safari pairs well with a stay at a similar lodge in the Timbavati, Thornybush or Klaserie private reserves of Kruger, a drive through the Panorama Route, or a few nights in Cape Town. Victoria Falls is easily added with a direct flight and makes for a natural and memorable extension.

Skukuza Airport can be used in place of Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your onward flight.
