Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive southwest through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying panoramic viewpoints and changing landscapes as you head toward the Masai Mara. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive across the vast savannahs, where lions, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest are commonly seen. The open plains allow excellent wildlife viewing and photography, especially as animals become more active in the cooler hours. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

After an early breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and drive toward Lake Nakuru, passing rolling farmlands and scenic Rift Valley escarpments. Arrive in Nakuru around midday, check in, and enjoy lunch before heading into the park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and other water birds, as well as its strong populations of black and white rhinos. You may also spot Rothschild giraffes, buffalo, and tree-climbing lions in the surrounding woodland. Enjoy the contrasting scenery of acacia forest and lakeshore before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
