Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Kampala or Entebbe and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, traditional villages, and terraced farmlands. There will be stopovers at the Equator for photographs and at local restaurants for lunch. Continue through the scenic landscapes of western Uganda and arrive at your lodge near the park in the evening. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner while preparing for the gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers about gorilla trekking guidelines and safety procedures. You will then enter the forest accompanied by experienced guides and trackers in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take between two and six hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas as they feed, interact, and care for their young. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may enjoy an optional community walk or visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop for lunch en route and make another stop at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping. Continue to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon or evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your memorable Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari.
