Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your safari begins at 7:00 am from City Market in central Nairobi, our group departure point. Guests are welcome to make their own way to City Market from their hotel or the airport — or we'll be glad to help arrange your transfer for an additional cost, just let us know in advance. From City Market, set off southwest towards the world-famous Maasai Mara, enjoying the changing scenery with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing through the rolling Maasai countryside. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and check-in, then head out on an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes and the great herds that fill the reserve. As the sun sets over the plains, return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Game drive at maasai mara

After an early breakfast, set out for a full day exploring the heart of the Maasai Mara — prime territory for the Great Migration. Spend the day tracking big cats on the hunt, watching for dramatic wildebeest river crossings (in season) and taking in the endless plains teeming with zebra, antelope and birdlife. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your adventure across the Mara's richest wildlife corridors. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Maasai mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village, where you can experience the rich culture, customs and warm hospitality of the local community — a memorable insight into a way of life unchanged for generations. Afterwards, bid farewell to the Maasai Mara and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, stopping for lunch en route. You will be dropped off in the afternoon at Nairobi's city centre (CBD) or at a hotel in the Westlands area, where the safari ends — leaving you with unforgettable memories and a camera full of the wild. Guests requiring onward transfer to the airport or another location are welcome to arrange this themselves, or we'll be glad to help organise it for an additional cost.
