Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara | Afternoon Game Drive

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to Masai Mara. The scenic flight offers stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and the vast plains below, setting the tone for your safari adventure. Upon landing at the Mara airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and driven to your lodge or camp, enjoying a short introductory game drive en route. After lunch and some time to relax, you head out for an afternoon game drive. This first exploration introduces you to the reserve’s incredible wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large prides of lions. As the sun sets over the rolling savannah, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Today is dedicated entirely to discovering the rich wildlife of the Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, you depart for a morning game drive when animals are most active. Your guide skillfully tracks wildlife, increasing chances of spotting the Big Five and witnessing dramatic predator-prey interactions. You may explore areas along the Mara River, famous for hippos, crocodiles, and, in season, the Great Migration crossings. A picnic lunch in the bush allows you to stay immersed in nature without returning to the lodge. The afternoon continues with extensive game viewing across different habitats, from open plains to riverine forests. As the day ends, you return to the lodge for dinner, sharing safari stories under the stars before another peaceful night in the Mara.

You then board your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, arriving late morning or early afternoon.
