Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking guide before being transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your international flight or enjoy your first impressions of Madagascar's lively capital city.

Day 2

Fly to Morondava – Kirindy Reserve

Fly to Morondava – Kirindy Reserve

An early morning transfer takes you to the airport for your domestic flight to Morondava on Madagascar's west coast. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will meet you before beginning the drive towards Kirindy Forest Reserve.

The landscape gradually changes from rice fields to dry deciduous forests and giant baobabs, offering excellent photographic opportunities.

During the afternoon you will enjoy your first guided walk through Kirindy Reserve, home to the famous Verreaux's Sifaka, Red-fronted Brown Lemur, Giant Jumping Rat and numerous reptiles.

After dinner, another guided night walk offers an excellent opportunity to search for Madagascar's nocturnal wildlife including Mouse Lemurs, sportive lemurs, chameleons, owls and, with some luck, the elusive Fossa, Madagascar's largest carnivore.

Day 3

Kirindy-Bekopaka

Kirindy-Bekopaka

After breakfast, continue north towards Bekopaka, gateway to Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park.

The journey includes crossing the Tsiribihina and Manambolo Rivers by local ferry while travelling through remote villages and magnificent western landscapes.

Day 4-5

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park

Spend two full days discovering one of Madagascar's greatest natural treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Guided hikes through the spectacular limestone pinnacles reveal suspension bridges, narrow canyons, caves, viewpoints and remarkable geological formations that have evolved over millions of years.

You will also visit Petit Tsingy and enjoy a boat excursion through the beautiful Manambolo Gorge where ancient caves were once used as burial sites by the local people.

The park is home to several lemur species including Decken's Sifaka, Red-fronted Brown Lemur and numerous endemic birds, reptiles and rare plants.

Return to Morondava following the same scenic route across western Madagascar.

In the late afternoon you will visit the world-famous Avenue of the Baobabs where centuries-old giant baobab trees create one of Africa's most iconic landscapes. Sunset here offers exceptional photography opportunities.

This morning visit the remarkable Reniala Spiny Forest Reserve accompanied by a specialist local guide.

The reserve protects one of Madagascar's most unique ecosystems where strange octopus trees, giant baobabs and thorny plants create an extraordinary landscape.

Excellent opportunities exist to observe Long-tailed Ground Rollers, Couas, Running Couas, Subdesert Mesites, chameleons and numerous endemic reptiles.

The afternoon is free to relax beside the Mozambique Channel or enjoy optional activities including snorkeling, whale watching (seasonal) or village visits.

Today enjoy a full-day excursion to Tsimanampetsotsa National Park, one of Madagascar's least-visited protected areas.

The park is renowned for its unique saline lake, spectacular limestone formations, caves, baobabs, rare birds and excellent opportunities to observe Ring-tailed Lemurs in their natural habitat.

Flamingos are frequently seen on the lake depending on seasonal conditions.

Return to Anakao during the afternoon.
