Next, next head to Merkato market vibrant market the biggest open air market (if time allows you and if you are interested visit the holy trinity church one of the most important religious sites in Addis Ababa. It houses the tombs of Emperor Haile Selassie and other prominent figures.
Explore the Ethnological Museum, located within the grounds of Addis Ababa University. The museum showcases Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage, including traditional artifacts, art, and exhibits on various ethnic groups. Enjoy dinner at ToTot Cultural shows & traditional Ethiopian restaurants, where you can savor authentic Ethiopian cuisine and experience traditional music and dance performances.

Start your visit to the first group of Lalibela Churches which are located north of a small stream named Jordan River. These Churches were carved during the time of King Lalibela (1181 – 1221) and are registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
In the city of Lalibela, see about Eleven Rock Churches organized into groups of three. Visit Bete Medhanealem, Bete Maryam, Bete Golgotha Mikael, Bete Maskal (House of the Cross), Bete Denagel (House of Virgins), Bete Giyorgis, Bete Amanuel, Bete Qeddus Merkoreos, Bete Abba Libanos (House of Abba Libanos), Bete Gabriel-Ruphael, and Bete Lehem (Bethlehem Hebrew: בֵּית לֶחֶם, House of Holy Bread).

Depending on availability, begin the day by attending a traditional morning church ceremony at one of Lalibela's ancient rock hewn churches. Witness centuries old Ethiopian Orthodox Christian traditions, listen to the beautiful chants of priests, and experience the unique spiritual atmosphere that makes Lalibela one of the world's most remarkable pilgrimage destinations.
After the ceremony, transfer to Lalibela Airport for your scheduled flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon excursion to Entoto Park, a scenic recreational area set on the slopes of Mount Entoto. Explore its walking trails, landscaped gardens, and panoramic viewpoints while enjoying fresh mountain air. Continue to the Entoto viewpoint for spectacular views overlooking Addis Ababa, offering excellent opportunities for photography and a memorable sunset over Ethiopia's capital city.

Continue your journey to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamer people, who are known for their intricate hairstyles, colorful body adornments, and famous bull jumping ceremonies.

After breakfast, set off on a 2-hour drive to Omorate, near the Omo River, to visit the Dassanech tribe – also known as the “People of the Delta.” These pastoralists and agro-fishers live along the northern shores of Lake Turkana and are known for their distinctive hairstyles and traditional body scarification.
Return to Turmi for lunch, then journey back to Jinka, stopping en route to revisit Key Afer if market day aligns or to enjoy scenic cultural stops.
In Jinka, visit the Ari tribe, the region’s largest ethnic group, known for their banana-fiber skirts, traditional pottery, and iron work.
