Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver and transferred to your first accommodation.
Entebbe is a charming, green town situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, making it the perfect place to acclimatise and relax after your long flight. Uganda is known for its incredible geographical and cultural diversity, featuring endless lakes, dense jungles, mountains, and sprawling savannas.
Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the rest of the day unwinding in the lush gardens of your boutique hotel, where monkeys swing through the trees and tropical birds flutter by. You could also choose to take an optional stroll to the nearby botanical gardens or simply relax by the pool as you prepare for the amazing wildlife adventure that starts tomorrow!

Day 2

Today, you will leave Entebbe behind and head towards the lush, hilly region of the Crater Lakes. The scenic drive takes about six hours, passing through vibrant Ugandan villages and beautiful landscapes. You will travel comfortably in a private 4x4 with an experienced driver-guide who knows the country inside out and is happy to share stories along the way.
Upon arrival in the Crater Lakes area, you will be amazed by the mirror-like lakes, which are the peaceful remnants of fierce volcanic activity from thousands of years ago. You will check in at Isunga Lodge, an eco-lodge perched on the edge of the dense Kibale Forest. From your cottage, you can listen to the mysterious sounds of the jungle, and you might even hear the distant calls of chimpanzees or spot a passing forest elephant. Grab a cold drink as the sun slowly sets and end the day relaxing by the campfire under a bright starry sky.

Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the jungle and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Today begins with an included visit to a local family where you will learn all about the region's fertile soil and its famous red-green coffee berries. During this coffee tour, you will get a hands-on lesson in growing the perfect coffee bean, ending with a steaming cup of freshly ground coffee.
After this included activity, the rest of the day is yours to spend as you please, with several fantastic optional activities available at an extra cost. You can choose to hop on the back of a motorbike for a special guided motor tour through the breathtaking landscape. If you prefer to stay active, put on your hiking boots and take a scenic hike past small farms, banana plantations, and hidden lakes full of swinging monkeys. Alternatively, join a cooking class where you will learn to make local dishes like matoke, chicken luwombo, or the famous Uganda Rolex.
You will spend another relaxing night at Isunga Lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will leave the green hills of the Crater Lakes behind and drive south towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you over unpaved roads through a remote landscape where local village life unfolds right along the way.
Upon arriving at the national park, the real safari adventure begins! In the afternoon, you will head out for your first exciting game drive across the vast savannahs. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and maybe even a pride of lions resting in the shade!
After an adventurous afternoon, you will arrive at your accommodation, the Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge. The lodge is beautifully situated, meaning wild animals regularly wander through the camp.
Enjoy a wonderful outdoor safari atmosphere and fall asleep to the sounds of grunting hippos and laughing hyenas under a bright star-filled sky!

Uganda is known for its unique primates, and today you will meet our closest living relative: the chimpanzee!
You will head to Kalinzu Forest, which is a fantastic off-the-beaten-track alternative to the busier Kibale Forest. Around 220 chimpanzees live here, which is very special because this endangered animal is not easily spotted in the wild in many other places.
Led by an experienced ranger, you will embark on a trek right through the dense jungle to meet these fascinating primates in person. While making your way through the forest like a true explorer, do not forget to look around at the diverse flora and fauna. You might see other primate species swinging through the exotic trees and tropical birds in all shapes and colours.
With a bit of luck, you might even spot a leopard!
After this incredible encounter, you will return to your accommodation to relax and reflect on the day's adventure.

After an exciting night in the wild, you will wake up early for a spectacular morning game drive across the vast savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park. As the morning sun casts its rays over the plains, you have a great chance to spot active wildlife like elephants and buffaloes.
In the afternoon, it is time to experience the wildlife from a completely different perspective: the water. You will step aboard for a thrilling two-hour boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, the waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Before you know it, crocodiles might pop up next to your boat, and grunting hippo families will come to say hello. Keep an eye on the shores too, as herds of elephants often gather at the riverbanks to quench their thirst.
After this spectacular day, you will return to your eco-lodge to relax and enjoy another beautiful night in the bush.

Today, you will trade the vast savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park for the dense, mist-covered jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a delicious breakfast, you will hop into your 4x4 for a scenic drive of about five and a half hours. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might spot an elephant family along the way!
Upon arrival, you will check in at the Bwindi Engagi Lodge, which offers a phenomenal view over the jungle canopy. The lodge is built from natural materials and blends perfectly into the ultimate jungle setting. Order an ice-cold drink or a freshly prepared meal while gazing down on fifty different shades of green from the shared viewing platform. Relax, take in the sights and sounds of the forest, and get a good night's rest, because your ultimate gorilla adventure starts tomorrow!

Today is the day of your ultimate jungle adventure! After an early breakfast, you will head into the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of the rare mountain gorillas. You will be assigned to a small group of maximum eight people and guided by an experienced ranger who tracks the gorilla family.
The hike through the dense rainforest can take anywhere between three to seven hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. You will navigate through muddy trails and thick vegetation, making it a challenging but deeply rewarding trek. Once you find the gorillas, you get to spend one magical hour observing these majestic animals from just a few metres away as they eat, play, and interact with each other.
Coming face to face with a silverback is an indescribable, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Afterwards, you will return to your lodge to relax and share stories around the campfire.

Today, you will leave the dense jungle behind and travel to Lake Mburo National Park. After a scenic drive of about six hours, you will arrive at your beautiful new destination. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a rare leopard here!
To give this luck a little push, you will go on an exciting night safari tonight, as leopards truly come to life after dark. As dusk falls, you will head into the park with an experienced guide and a massive spotlight. Keep a close eye out for glowing eyes in the dark, as there are many other fascinating nocturnal animals living in this park!
Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking Lake Mburo, Rwakobo Lodge is your home for the night. This eco-friendly, family-run lodge features charming cottages dotted across the hillside, surrounded by lush bush where warthogs and impalas roam freely. End the day by the campfire or at the restaurant as the African sky fills with stars.

Start your day with a unique morning walking safari through the untouched bush of Lake Mburo National Park. Because this park has no lions or elephants, it is one of the few places where you can safely explore the savannah on foot. As you walk, you will get up close to elegant impalas, zebras, and have the chance to see some of the fourteen beautiful lakes in the area.
After this walking adventure, you will return to the lodge to relax. In the afternoon, you will hop back into your own 4x4 for an exciting self-drive game drive across the savannah. Lake Mburo might be the smallest savannah national park in Uganda, but it is packed with incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, and maybe even a rare leopard. After an adventurous afternoon, you will return to your lodge to enjoy the peaceful evening.

All good things must come to an end, and today marks the conclusion of your beautiful adventure through Uganda. After enjoying your final breakfast at the lodge, you will pack your bags and hop into the 4x4 one last time. From Lake Mburo, you will embark on a scenic drive of about six hours back to Entebbe. Sit back, relax, and use this travel time to dream away and reflect on all the amazing memories you have collected over the past days.
From the untouched nature and abundant wildlife to the inspiring local encounters, you will have plenty of stories to share back home. Upon arrival in Entebbe, your driver-guide will drop you off at the airport right on time for your international flight. Safe travels and until next time!
