Leaving the bustling capital of Kampala behind, the landscape quickly transforms into lush green plains and open savannah. Your knowledgeable guide knows the country inside out and will ensure a carefree journey. Lake Mburo is famous for its rich wildlife, and with a little luck, you might even spot a leopard!

Today is the absolute highlight of your trip. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for an important briefing with the rangers. Put on your hiking boots and step into the ancient, misty rainforest on a quest to find the endangered mountain gorillas. Your trek can last between three and seven hours, walking over slippery trails and steep slopes. Once you locate the gorilla family, spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants from just a few meters away.

It is an indescribable and deeply emotional experience. Return to Bwindi Engagi Lodge in the afternoon to celebrate your adventure with a hot shower, a massage, and a lovely gourmet dinner.

In the afternoon, set off on a spectacular two-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.
