Enjoy a memorable safari experience surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the crater walls and the diverse ecosystem below. After the game drive and lunch, begin your journey back to Arusha. Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

After breakfast at Karibu Heritage House in Arusha, you will depart for Moshi where you will meet your mountain guide before continuing to Marangu Gate for registration and a short briefing. Your hike begins through the beautiful lush rainforest of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you can enjoy stunning scenery, giant trees, colorful birds, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. This gentle ascent offers a perfect introduction to the mountain experience. Along the trail, your guide will share interesting information about Kilimanjaro’s unique flora and fauna. After reaching Mandara Hut, you may take a short walk to Maundi Crater for spectacular views of northern Tanzania and Kenya, weather permitting. Dinner and overnight stay at Mandara Hut.
