1-Day Shimba Hills National Reserve Full Day Safari

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Depart your Diani hotel early for the short drive to the Shimba Hills gate. Enter Kenya's only coastal rainforest reserve for a guided morning game drive, keeping watch for elephants and the reserve's famous sable antelope herds. Wind through forest trails and grassland clearings that are also home to buffalo, giraffe, and over 100 bird species, pausing at scenic viewpoints over the Diani coastline.

Continue to the trailhead for a guided nature walk through the forest to Sheldrick Falls, a scenic waterfall tumbling into a natural pool — a great spot to cool off with a swim before a bush picnic lunch nearby. In the early afternoon, resume the game drive back toward the main gate, with a stop at a further viewpoint, before the drive back to your Diani hotel in time for sundowners.
