Johannesburg to the Sekekama Tented Camp – Afternoon Sunset Drive

You will be collected from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport at 07:00 and transported to Sekekama Tented Camp by The Kruger Safari Co, where you will check in to your glamping site at 14:00. After some time to rest and enjoy the facilities, you will depart at 15:00 for a 3-hour open vehicle afternoon game drive in the Greater Kruger Tshukudu Private Game Reserve. You might encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes as we explore the area. We will return to camp at around 19:00 for a delicious boma fire meal (subject to availability, weather dependent) and a peaceful night under the stars.

Open Vehicle Safari Drive in the Kruger National Park

You will rise early to be ready at 05:30 (when predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are most active) for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park with The Kruger Safari Co. Your day may unfold in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before as it will be decided according to animal activity at the time to give you the best opportunity for game viewing. Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours, so you should be back at the camp with enough time to relax before dinner by the fire.

After breakfast at your camp, we will transport you back to Johannesburg. Our team will ensure a comfortable journey as we make our way to OR Tambo International Airport. You can expect to arrive between 17:00 and 18:00, giving you plenty of time for your onward travel arrangements. For those seeking one last adventure, an optional 3-hour sunrise game drive in Tshukudu Private Game reserve is available this morning for R1350 per person sharing. This early morning excursion offers a final chance to spot wildlife before your departure.
