Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, traveling through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending into the Ndutu region. Located between the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ndutu is famous for the Great Migration calving season from December to March. Arrive in time for lunch or an afternoon game drive, where you may encounter vast herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as giraffes, elephants, gazelles, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. After breakfast, continue your exploration of the spectacular Ndutu region with another full-day game drive. Your guide will visit areas where animal activity is at its peak, following the movements of the migration and searching for dramatic predator-prey interactions. Depending on the season, you may witness newborn wildebeest calves taking their first steps, while elephants, buffaloes, ostriches, giraffes, and numerous antelope species roam freely across the plains. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy spotting a variety of resident and migratory birds. A picnic lunch will be served in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive and returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing Ndutu for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Descend approximately 600 meters to the crater floor for an exciting game drive through forests, wetlands, and open grasslands that support an incredible concentration of wildlife. Search for the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, alongside hippos, elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos, and many other species. After enjoying a picnic lunch near the hippo pool and completing your game drive, ascend the crater and continue to Karatu for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
