Your adventure begins with a morning drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a beautiful landscape of ancient baobabs, open grasslands, and seasonal wetlands. Renowned for its large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife and distinctive scenery.
Enjoy a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline and a vital water source for wildlife, especially during the dry season. Watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of antelope, while keeping an eye out for lions, leopards, and other predators.
Your experienced guide will follow wildlife activity and select the most rewarding routes, giving you time to enjoy both the wildlife and the landscape. As the afternoon light softens across the baobab-dotted plains, leave Tarangire behind and continue into the scenic highlands for a relaxing evening and comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Today you will descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera surrounded by towering walls and one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. The crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to encounter zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, hippos, and graceful gazelles.
As you explore with your experienced guide, keep watch for lions and hyenas moving across the open plains. With patience and luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino, often seen among the grasslands. The crater’s lakes and wetlands attract flamingos and a rich variety of birdlife, adding to the diversity of the experience.
After a memorable picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue your game drive before ascending the crater walls in the afternoon. Return to your lodge in the highlands to unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening by the fireplace.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Your final day begins with a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem nestled beneath the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. The park’s diverse landscapes range from lush groundwater forests to open floodplains and the shimmering waters of the alkaline lake, creating a wonderful setting for a morning game drive.
Explore the forest and open plains in search of playful baboons, graceful giraffes, elephants, and colourful birdlife gathering around the lake. Keep an eye on the trees and surrounding woodland for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, a memorable sight when you are fortunate enough to encounter them. After your game drive, enjoy a warm picnic lunch before beginning the drive back to Arusha.
On arrival, we will drop you at your preferred location or airport, bringing your Tanzanian safari to a close. We hope you leave with wonderful memories, unforgettable wildlife encounters, and a little more of Tanzania in your heart.
