Journey to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping briefly at the viewpoint for panoramic views and photographs before continuing to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your safari camp or lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, head out on your first exciting game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and many other wildlife species. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay. A visit to a traditional Maasai village is available as optional for an extra cost.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the vast plains of Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore different areas of the reserve in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location within the reserve before continuing your wildlife viewing. Your experienced guide will share fascinating insights about the animals, birds, and ecosystems throughout the day. Return to your safari camp or lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay. A hot air balloon safari is available as optional for an extra cost and takes place early in the morning before the game drive.
