Your safari begins with a warm welcome from your professional driver-guide before departing Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a landscape famous for its ancient baobab trees and one of Africa's largest elephant populations. As you explore the park, you'll encounter herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and an abundance of birdlife. Lions are often seen resting beneath acacia trees while leopards occasionally make an appearance along the riverine forests. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, you'll leave the park and head to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Throughout the day, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your search for the park's incredible diversity of wildlife. Day 4

After an early breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife. Explore the crater floor in search of the Big Five, including the endangered black rhinoceros, while also encountering hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas and an abundance of birdlife. After a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool, ascend the crater and continue your journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for an overnight stay before tomorrow's exclusive Tanzanite mine experience.

After breakfast, travel to Mererani, the world's only source of the rare Tanzanite gemstone. Learn about the history and formation of this remarkable gem before visiting an active mining site. Subject to mine operations and safety clearance, you'll descend into an underground mining shaft equipped with the required safety gear and accompanied by experienced mine personnel, offering a rare opportunity to witness how Tanzanite is mined. You'll also see how the gemstones are sorted and graded before visiting trusted dealers, where you can purchase certified Tanzanite directly from the source. Afterwards, you'll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport or your accommodation in Arusha.
