Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali. Meet your professional safari guide before departing for the Cyanika or Katuna border crossing into Uganda.

The scenic drive takes you through Rwanda's rolling hills and into the beautiful highlands of southwestern Uganda. Upon arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding rainforest and prepare for the following day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, trek through the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi's habituated mountain gorilla families. Once you locate the gorillas, spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, play, groom, and interact in their natural habitat.

Following the trek, receive your Gorilla Trekking Certificate before driving to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake's 29 islands and the surrounding terraced hills.

Lake Bunyonyi – Return to Kigali

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the calm waters of Lake Bunyonyi before taking an optional canoe ride or short boat excursion to explore some of the lake's picturesque islands and learn about their fascinating history.

Later, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, crossing the Uganda-Rwanda border and passing through Rwanda's famous "Land of a Thousand Hills." Arrive in Kigali in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
