Depart Nairobi and journey north through the scenic Central highlands, passing lush farmlands and crossing the equator en route to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is renowned for its unique wildlife, including the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk, as well as elephants, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species. After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve with a packed lunch. Explore the reserve's rugged landscapes and the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, where wildlife gathers to drink.
