Day 2

On this day, you will begin the unforgettable discovery of Uganda’s safari experience. After a hearty breakfast, set off to Uganda’s beautiful national park, yet a diverse gem in wildlife nature with scenic views. You will drive to the accommodation nested within the beautiful landscape of the park for a check-in and unwind. Have a relaxed lunch with the quiet sounds from the park. After which, you will engage in a walking safari. Lake Mburo National Park is the only destination in Uganda for such an experience. Besides the rewarding wildlife views, you will get to feel the foundations of the park under your feet. On this activity, you will set to view various wild game, such as the Uganda Kob, Topis, Zebras, Elands, Buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks and many more.

After your breakfast, prepare for yet another wildlife encounter this time around, from a boat view. Enjoy the splendid sail with views of the offshore wild mammals, like Hippos, land mammals quenching their thirst like the impala from the lake. While on the boat cruise, bird species such as the southern ground hornbill, Black bellied bustard, Mosque swallow, Ruppel’s starling and more will be seen. After, drive back to the lodge and prepare for a transfer to one of Uganda’s primate destinations, Mgahinga National Park.
You will drive comfortably; south western Uganda until arrival for an evening chill and relaxation at your checked in lodge.

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast as you prepare for golden monkey trekking. The golden monkeys are endemic to the Virunga area and are only found in Mgahinga National Park in Uganda. While trekking through the bamboo trails, the favorite home of the golden monkeys, you will spot them playing and living about in their natural habitat. Take some moments and capture the memories of the unique golden monkeys. After here, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

Later on, you will transfer to Lake Mutanda for a refreshing boat experience. Relax in the cool and cold breeze on one of Uganda’s beautiful lakes.

Refreshed from your rest, have breakfast and prepare for a road transfer to the prime mountain gorilla cradleland. The transfer will take about 2 hours, traversing through the beautiful terraces of Kisoro-Kibale.
Arrive later in the afternoon for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa pygmies. Besides their extremely small size, this local cultural group is recorded as the former inhabitants alongside the mountain gorillas in the forest. On this visit, enjoy the practical and full participation in their daily activities like fire making “using only wood”, enjoy the ancient forest tales, traditional welcome dance, and enjoyable entertainment. Retire from this activity to your lodge, enjoy a heartful meal as you reminisce on the Batwa group.

Have early breakfast from your lodge and prepare for the ultimate gorilla experience. First you will Hike to the park’s headquarters for a short briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts’s While trekking the gentle giants. After proceed through the forest trails searching for a gorilla family. On finding one, you will spend one hour with an insight of their life in the Jungle, playing, feeding, and resting. After this encounter retire to the lodge for relaxation.

Prepare for an early breakfast, and set off for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. Spot various wild game that includes Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, Spotted Hyenas, Buffaloes, Elephants, and many more. Besides the wildlife, you will spot primates and many more bird species. After this experience, you will have a soft lunch as you prepare for a breathtaking boat cruise with the beautiful views from the park’s landscapes and wildlife. The famous water hippos will be spotted while on the boat launch. There after you will return to the lodge for dinner and a sleep over.

Today after breakfast, you will drive for about 2 hours to Fort Portal town. Upon your arrival, you will visit the Karambi tombs; you will learn about the history and the culture of the Batooro. After lunch, visit the Amabeere G’anyinamwiru, stalactites and stalagmites in Nyakasura. From here, drive to your lodge for check in.

You drive to the visitors Centre in the park for a briefing. Then the walk starts in the rainforest; the walk can be quite heavy, and it lasts for about 3 hours. Take good shoes and long pants plus rain jackets. There will be a lot of time to listen carefully to see if you can hear the Chimps; the rangers are trained in this, so chances are that you will find the Chimpanzees.
After the Chimp trek it is time for lunch and then a walk through the Bigodi wetland. During this walk you will spot many different birds and perhaps some monkeys.

Have breakfast and prepare for a road transfer to the biggest national park in the pearl; Murchison falls national park
Today the journey continues to Murchison Falls National Park from Kibale. It is a ride of 6 to 7 hours. The journey is long but also very beautiful with a beautiful varied landscape, the hills and mountains you drive through are become greener and greener, until you reach the savanna of Murchison falls. Arrival later in the evening for the viewing of the top of the falls.

At 6 am, wake up for breakfast, and at 7 you are on your way to spot the game in the park. Drive through the savanna as you look out for lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes and colorful birds. After the ride through the park, you go back to the lodge for lunch.
At 2 pm the boat trip to the bottom of the falls on the Nile starts. The trip takes about 3 hours and during the tour you will see a lot of wild animals, such as Hippos, Buffalo, Nile crocodiles, waterbucks, and numerous bird species.
After the boat experience, drive to the top of the falls for the view of the mighty waterfall.

After breakfast, it is time to travel back to the city. Together with the guide you drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, here you go on foot in search of the White Rhino! Ziwa is the only place where the rhinoceroses have 24-hour surveillance.
The trip to Ziwa takes about 2 – 2.5 hours. After lunch you drive to Kampala where you check in at your lodge. Later at night you can opt for a night life experience.
