Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe before driving north through the scenic countryside towards Murchison Falls National Park. En route, enjoy a lunch stop in Masindi before continuing to Uganda's largest and oldest national park.

Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and spend the afternoon relaxing or enjoying a short guided nature walk around the lodge surroundings. If time allows, visit the top of Murchison Falls to witness the Nile squeezing through a narrow 7-metre gorge before plunging 43 metres into the Devil's Cauldron.

Day 2

Rise early for a morning game drive across the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the open savannah in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, Uganda kob, oribi, leopards, and numerous bird species.

After lunch, enjoy a memorable boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, watch for hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an impressive variety of water birds. The cruise ends beneath the thunderous falls, providing spectacular photographic opportunities.

Day 3

Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and journey south towards Kibale Forest National Park. If time permits, make a stop at the famous Royal Mile in Budongo Forest, one of Uganda's premier birdwatching destinations, known for its rich forest birdlife and scenic walking trails.

Continue through tea plantations and rolling hills before arriving in the Fort Portal region. Check in to your lodge and relax ahead of tomorrow's chimpanzee adventure.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, report to the Kibale National Park Visitor Centre for a briefing before setting off on your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, trek through the tropical rainforest in search of one of the habituated chimpanzee communities. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk. This community-managed wetland is renowned for its exceptional birdlife, colourful butterflies, and several monkey species, including black-and-white colobus and red-tailed monkeys.

Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your safari.
