Upon reaching the Virunga Region, head straight to your lodge near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to check in and unwind. After an early breakfast, head to the Ntebeko briefing center to prepare for gorilla tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This park is home to the famous Nyakagezi family, known for having multiple silverbacks. Guided by experienced park rangers, you’ll trek through the bamboo forest for an up-close, magical encounter with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After your hour with the gorillas, return for lunch and receive your tracking certificate before embarking on your journey back to Kigali via the Cyanika border, concluding your safari.
