Arrival in Nairobi – The Sarova Stanley Hotel

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to the iconic Sarova Stanley Hotel, where your Kenyan adventure begins. After check-in (from 2:00 PM), enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure to relax or explore Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may also choose from a selection of optional excursions to discover the city's attractions.

Journey to Shaba National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel north through the scenic central highlands, passing Thika, tea and coffee plantations, and the town of Nanyuki before reaching Isiolo, the gateway to Kenya's northern frontier. Continue to Shaba National Reserve, arriving at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in this unique reserve, home to the rare "Northern Special Five"—the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich. After breakfast, depart Shaba National Reserve and journey south through Isiolo, skirting the northern foothills of Mount Kenya before passing through Nanyuki and Nyahururu en route to the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park. Masai Mara to Nairobi Departure

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and journey through the rolling wheat and barley fields of Narok, the heart of Maasailand. Continue across the scenic Great Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for giraffes, gazelles, and other wildlife before ascending the historic Rift Valley escarpment along the road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Arrive in Nairobi around midday, where you will be transferred either to the city centre drop-off point or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or travel arrangements, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenyan safari.
