Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins this morning as you leave the bustle of Arusha behind and head south toward Tarangire National Park. As the landscape opens up, you'll start noticing the giant baobab trees that give this park its unmistakable character some standing for centuries, silent witnesses to the bush around them. Tarangire is famous for its elephants, and it won't take long before you spot your first family group moving unhurried through the golden grass. Along the winding Tarangire River, life gathers: zebra, giraffe, buffalo, and impala share the water's edge, while lions often rest in the shade nearby. Spend the afternoon on a game drive soaking in the rhythm of the bush, then settle in for the evening as the sky turns orange over the plains. Spend the night in the lodge, with the sounds of Africa drifting in as you drift off to sleep.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll set off westward on a journey that feels like driving into the heart of Tanzania itself. The road climbs through the cool, green highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering sweeping views before descending into the vast, endless plains of the Serengeti. There's a reason this place is spoken of the way it is the horizon simply disappears into grassland, broken only by acacia trees and, depending on the time of year, the movement of thousands of wildebeest and zebra making their way across the plains as part of the Great Migration. As you enter the park, your first afternoon game drive begins, and the excitement is immediate: prides of lion lounging in the open, cheetah scanning the horizon from a termite mound, perhaps even a leopard draped lazily over a tree branch. Spend the night in the lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti after dark.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Full Day Serengeti National Park

Today is entirely yours to explore the Serengeti at its fullest. With a full day of game driving ahead, you'll head out after breakfast to chase the stories the bush has to tell a hunting cheetah, a pride teaching its cubs to stalk, or herds of migrating wildebeest thundering across a river crossing. Your guide knows this land well, tracking radio updates and reading the signs of the bush to put you in the right place at the right time. You'll pause for a picnic lunch out in the open plains, the kind of lunch spot most people only see in documentaries, before continuing your search for the Big Five. As the sun begins to set and paints the sky in deep oranges and reds, you'll make your way back, full of stories from the day. Spend the night in the lodge, reflecting on a day that only the Serengeti could offer.

Rise early today for one of the most extraordinary experiences in African safari travel. After breakfast, you'll begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife in numbers rarely seen anywhere else on Earth. As you reach the crater floor, it feels like stepping into a hidden world herds of wildebeest and zebra graze freely, flamingos wade in the soda lake, and if luck is on your side, you may spot one of the crater's rare black rhinos, a sighting few safari-goers ever get to experience. After a picnic lunch with a view like no other, you'll begin the journey back, climbing out of the crater and making your way to Arusha.
