Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Check-in is from 14:00, and your overnight stay will be on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to add an optional excursion or activity to begin your Kenyan experience. Options may include a visit to Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, the Karen Blixen Museum, or an afternoon city experience.

If you prefer to relax after your journey, you can simply enjoy the comfort and facilities of your hotel before your safari adventure begins the following day.

Day 2

Nairobi to the Maasai Mara

Nairobi to the Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart Nairobi at approximately 07:30 and travel through Kenya’s fertile highlands towards the Great Rift Valley. Descend the dramatic Rift Valley Escarpment along the historic road constructed by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Along the way, admire the charming chapel at the foot of the escarpment and pass the impressive Longonot Earth Satellite Station.

Continue across the Rift Valley towards Narok, travelling through vast landscapes of wheat and barley fields before entering the spectacular Maasai Mara. Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for lunch.

After lunch, set out on your first exciting game drive across the Mara plains, returning to camp as the sun sets. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your selected camp or lodge.

Full Day in the Maasai Mara

Full Day in the Maasai Mara

Following an early breakfast, depart on a morning game drive across the Maasai Mara, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. Return to camp in the mid-morning for some time to relax and enjoy the facilities.

After lunch and perhaps a leisurely siesta, head out for an afternoon game drive through the spectacular Mara plains. Later, visit a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience and an opportunity to learn about the community’s traditions, lifestyle and heritage.

As the sun begins to set, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, leave the Maasai Mara and travel through Kenya’s fertile “breadbasket,” passing vast fields of wheat and barley as you head towards Narok, the headquarters of this region of Maasailand. Continue across the expansive plains of the Great Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for giraffes, gazelles and other wildlife before ascending the escarpment via Mai-Mahiu.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru around midday and, upon entering the national park or conservancy, enjoy game viewing en route to your lodge. After lunch and a relaxing siesta, head out for an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its rich birdlife and offers the possibility of spotting flamingos. The area is also home to both black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

Following an early breakfast, leave the Rift Valley behind and proceed to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat trip on the lake. Afterwards, continue to Nairobi, where you will enjoy an early lunch or a picnic lunch, depending on road conditions. From Nairobi, travel south towards Amboseli National Park, arriving at your camp or lodge in the late afternoon.

Upon arrival, settle in and enjoy the surroundings before dinner and overnight on a full-board basis.
