Today is dedicated to exploring the remarkable landscapes of Samburu National Reserve, giving you the best opportunity to encounter its extraordinary wildlife. Set out on morning and afternoon game drives, with a break for lunch and relaxation at your lodge or camp during the hottest part of the day.

Follow the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos gather to drink, while predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs patrol the surrounding plains. Keep your camera ready for the famous Samburu Special Five - Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk - species found only in northern Kenya. After an early breakfast, check out of your lodge and bid farewell to Samburu as you journey south toward the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, enjoying scenic views of Kenya's central highlands along the way. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp before setting out on an exciting afternoon game drive.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary and home to the world's last two remaining northern white rhinos. During your game drive, you'll have excellent chances of spotting rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and many other wildlife species.
You may also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees can be seen in a protected environment. As the sun sets over the conservancy, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.
