Divide into groups of eight and enter the lush rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee troops—our closest cousins, yet one of the most threatened primate species. Listen for their pant-hooting calls echoing through the canopy. Upon locating them, spend one magical hour observing their playful antics—grooming, feeding, and swinging effortlessly through the trees. Also spot black-and-white colobus, L'Hoest's monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. Return for lunch.
