Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for the 7:30 AM gorilla trekking briefing. Guided by expert rangers, you trek through lush, misty forests in search of your assigned gorilla family. Trekking can take 2–5 hours, but every step is filled with anticipation. Once you reach the gorillas, you'll spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants up close. After the trek, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about ongoing conservation efforts. You return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You drive back to Kigali, and if time permits, discover the city’s history with a short tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial. You conclude your journey with a drop-off at Kigali International Airport, carrying memories of an unforgettable Rwandan adventure.
