1-Day Kilimanjaro Hiking

After a hearty breakfast, your adventure begins as your driver transfers you on a scenic 60-minute journey to the Marangu Gate, the starting point of the world-famous Marangu Route, affectionately known as the "Coca-Cola Route."

Your trek starts at 1,970 metres above sea level, following a well-maintained trail that winds through the lush montane rainforest. Over approximately three hours, you will ascend to Mandara Hut (2,700 metres), the first overnight stop on the route.

Along the way, immerse yourself in the beauty of Kilimanjaro's diverse ecosystems as the dense rainforest gradually gives way to heath and moorland vegetation. The trail is rich with unique endemic plants, towering ancient trees, colourful wildflowers, and an abundance of birdlife.

Keep your eyes open for the playful Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys and other forest wildlife that inhabit this pristine environment.
