Mkomazi is located between the two mountain ranges of the Pare and the Usambara Mountains and serves as a buffer to the adjacent Tsavo National Park in Kenya.
Spend a full day of game driving around the park.
Watch out for kudu, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wild beasts, it has the largest population of Eland and Gerenuk antelopes in Tanzania.
Bird enthusiasts can observe approximately 450 recorded species of bird life.
Mkomazi is also famous for its breeding projects of African wild dogs, as well as the rare black rhino run by the George Adamson/Tony Fitz john African Wildlife Preservation Trust. You can visit the project and see the wild dogs and rhinos.
Late evening drive back to Arusha or head for the next destination.
