Welcome to Tanzania!
Your Taswira Africa guide will be waiting for you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. We will then drive to your accommodation in Arusha (approximately a 1.5 hours drive, depending on traffic and time of arrival.) We will leave you to relax in the hotel for remainder of the day.

Day 2
Tarangire

We will depart Arusha in the morning and head directly to Tarangire National Park, named after the river that runs through it which quenches the thirst of a variety of animals, including giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras and a high density of elephants. Tarangire is home to over 550 species of birds and its hilly landscape is dotted with baobabs and diverse grasses. After a morning game drive, you will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the river, before continuing wildlife viewing until leaving the park in the late afternoon.

Day 3
Serengeti

After breakfast, we will start our journey to the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti National Park, home to the ‘big five’; rhinoceros, elephant, leopard, buffalo and lion, is one of the greatest national parks in the world, spanning over 14,000 km². The name Serengeti comes from a Maasai word meaning ‘endless plains’.
Although populations fluctuate, there are an estimated 3 million large game animals in the Serengeti, including over 2,500 lions, 1.2 million wildebeest and over 200,000 zebras. You will also have the opportunity to see giraffes, baboons, colobus monkeys, gazelles, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, waterbuck, hartebeest and more! This vast and varied park is home to more than 500 bird species; including ostriches, vultures, martial eagles, kori bustards, crowned crane and secretary birds.
Enjoy a picnic or camp lunch before continuing for an afternoon game drive through the vast plains. A trip to the Serengeti at any time of the year can never disappoint!

Day 4

Beginning the day with an early game drive, you will experience the Serengeti as the sun rises and wildlife awakens in the golden morning. This is one of the best times for wildlife viewing. You would either take breakfast box or you will return to your lodge / camp for a late breakfast and rest, before setting out into the vast Serengeti plains for the rest of the day.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day and return to our camp early evening.
Your guide will speak to you to plan your day after researching where the good location for animals will be.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will depart the Lodge with a picnic lunch and descend into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the magnificent world of diversity within, surrounded by the imposing walls encircling the reserve.
It is possible to see all of Africa's Big Five within the crater, along with a vast array of other wildlife, including hundreds of bird species. Enjoy a full day in the crater before departing for Arusha in the late afternoon. Later, you will drive back to the Arusha hotel.

Visit the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on Earth.

Witness Maasai tribesmen living among wild animals.

Day 6
Fly in to Zanzibar
Fly in to Zanzibar
Today you will be transferred to Arusha Airport to take your flight to Stone Town, Zanzibar, where you will be transferred to your accommodation in the old part of town. The Zanzibar Archipelago is off the mainland of Tanzania and comprised of several small islands and two larger ones; Pemba and Unguja (commonly referred to as Zanzibar and in this itinerary). Zanzibar is rich in history; from ancient Persian to the sultans of Oman, the influences are diverse and distinct.
You will enjoy a walking tour of this historic town, a World Heritage site, taking you through narrow streets enjoying the striking architecture. The tour includes the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum, Dr Livingstone’s House and the Arab Fort amongst others.

Day 7
Spice Farm

After breakfast, we will head to the beach passing through villages along the way. We will enjoy several stops including a spice tour of a traditional farm. After a fresh aromatic lunch in the spice farm we will arrive late afternoon to your beach accommodation.

Today you have a free day to partake in a variety of activities, such as yoga, kayaking, cycling, boat trips or simply relax by the pool or on the beach.
