Upon your arrival at the airport, an Ellion Tours representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to – in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax and unwind before embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.

Bustling Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania's renowned northern safari circuit. Rich in culture and surrounded by stunning landscapes, the city serves as the starting point for unforgettable wildlife adventures and is a destination that nearly every safari traveler passes through.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Your Ellion Tours safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. You will then drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately two and a half hours away on good tarmac roads. The Park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through the area. This “river of warthogs” serves as the main water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The Park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These herbivores attract a variety of predators, including lions and leopards. Tarangire is also home to more breeding bird species than anywhere else on the planet. The impressive ancient Baobab trees dominate the landscape, with some believed to be over a thousand years old.

Lunch will be served at a picnic site inside the Park. After your game drive, you will continue to – in Karatu.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater & Central Serengeti

Ngorongoro Crater & Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will drive into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At first sight, the Ngorongoro Crater feels like a hidden world, with steep volcanic walls surrounding a pristine wilderness of savannah, acacia forests, lakes, and swamps. Formed two to three million years ago after a massive volcanic collapse, the Crater covers 260 km² and is renowned for its unique geology and exceptional wildlife density. Descending into the Crater, you will encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. It also offers one of the best opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino.

You will then continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park, entering through the southern gate.

Day 4

Central Serengeti - Karatu

Central Serengeti - Karatu

The Serengeti is truly spectacular, renowned for its endless plains and exceptional wildlife viewing. Its climate and ecosystem have remained largely unchanged for millions of years, creating a perfect habitat for countless species. While home to abundant wildlife, the Serengeti is best known for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, along with zebra and antelope, move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. The migration can be witnessed throughout the year, depending on the season and location. Beyond the breathtaking landscapes, you have excellent chances of spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. It is an unforgettable, life-changing experience.

In the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to – in Karatu, enjoying more incredible sights along the way.

Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet diverse park located 120 km west of Arusha. Despite its size, the park offers incredible contrasts, from the narrow landscapes to the dramatic Great Rift Escarpment rising above the lake. The shallow alkaline lake attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. In the lush evergreen forests, you may spot baboons, elephants, and the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be transferred to your preferred location, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope you have enjoyed your unforgettable adventure with Ellion Tours!
