Day 1

After breakfast, your personal guide will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport, marking the start of your safari adventure. Enjoy a scenic 2–3 hour drive through the Tanzanian countryside, passing small Maasai villages along the way, before arriving at Tarangire National Park. Famous for its magnificent baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Explore its grassy plains and the Tarangire River while looking out for zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and, with some luck, the often well hidden leopard.

After your game drive, leave Tarangire behind and enjoy a scenic 90-minute drive to your accommodation in Karatu, where you can relax and unwind after your first day of safari.
