Your safari begins in Nairobi as you depart towards the remarkable landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, travelling through the rolling countryside and escarpments that define this part of Kenya. Continue towards the Lake Nakuru region, where the landscape gradually opens into one of the country’s most celebrated wildlife areas. Arrive at Ziwa Bush Lodge, a tranquil retreat surrounded by natural woodland, where you will check in and enjoy lunch before your afternoon safari. Later, enter Lake Nakuru National Park for your first game drive, exploring its picturesque lake, woodland and open grasslands. The park is renowned for its rhino conservation and diverse wildlife, with opportunities to encounter buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbuck and an array of birdlife. As the afternoon light settles over the park, return to Ziwa Bush Lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru behind and journey south-west towards the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve. The route takes you through Kenya’s changing landscapes, from the highlands of the Great Rift Valley to the sweeping grasslands of the Mara ecosystem. Upon arrival, settle in at Enkorok Mara Camp and enjoy lunch before setting out for your first afternoon game drive. As the golden light settles over the plains, explore the reserve in search of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and the Mara’s celebrated big cats. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at Enkorok Mara Camp, bid farewell to the Maasai Mara and begin the journey back to Nairobi. As the savannah gradually gives way to Kenya’s countryside, enjoy the final landscapes of your safari before arriving in the capital. Depending on your onward flight schedule, enjoy lunch at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant, offering a memorable dining experience in Nairobi. Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant is optional and available at an additional cost. Other optional Nairobi experiences, including the Giraffe Centre, Nairobi National Museum or Maasai Market, may also be arranged subject to time and availability. Following your chosen activities, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward journey. Airport transfer is included in the safari package.
