Welcome to East Africa! As you touches down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your stress-free journey begins immediately. After retrieving your luggage and passing through baggage control, you will be warmly greeted in the arrivals area by your dedicated representative.

Look for a custom sign bearing your name. Your driver-guide will take care of your bags and escort you to your private vehicle. As you head toward your accommodation, feel free to take in the local sights while your driver provides a brief orientation and overview of the exciting days ahead.

Arusha to Ndutu Area (Southern Serengeti)

After breakfast at your hotel, depart on a scenic drive toward the Ndutu area—a journey of roughly 260 km (~5.5 hours). Your route takes you through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending onto the endless plains of the Serengeti.

As you arrive in the southern Serengeti, experience the magnificent sight of vast wildebeest herds grazing across the landscape. The Serengeti is world-famous for the Great Migration and offers incredible opportunities to spot the iconic Big Five along with a rich diversity of wildlife.

Begin your day with an exhilarating dawn game drive across the Ndutu plains. As the sun rises over the savanna, experience the breathtaking beauty of an African sunrise while tracking early-morning wildlife activity, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the prowl.

After returning to camp for a hearty breakfast, set out for a full-day exploration of the endless plains. You will have front-row seats to the Great Migration, surrounded by vast herds of grazing wildebeest and zebra, alongside dramatic predator-prey interactions that define the African wild.

In the late afternoon, return to your camp to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind under the starlit sky.

Your afternoon drive through the Conservation Area offers prime wildlife viewing along the way. Expect sightings of magnificent elephants, tall giraffes, and bounding gazelles, alongside Africa’s most famous predators—including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Rise early for the final leg of your safari adventure. After a quick breakfast, you will descend over 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater—the world’s largest intact, unfilled volcanic caldera. Spanning roughly 260 square kilometers, this breathtaking natural wonder offers an extraordinarily high concentration of wildlife.

Keep your camera ready during your 5- to 6-hour game drive across the crater floor, where you may spot lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the picturesque Hippo Pool before beginning the steep ascent out of the crater.

Afterward, sit back and enjoy a comfortable drive back to Arusha, where you can relax and unwind at your hotel for the rest of the day.
