After the game drive, proceed to Arusha for your onward journey to Rwanda. Upon arrival in Rwanda, you will be warmly welcomed by your Rwanda guide and begin the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, where your exciting 3-day gorilla adventure awaits.

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your golden monkey trekking adventure. This exciting trek usually lasts 2–3 hours, guiding you through the bamboo forests where these playful primates live. After the trek, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Following your visit, return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey across the border into Uganda.

Gorilla Trekking in Uganda & Return to Kigali

After an early breakfast, your guide will escort you to the park headquarters for a briefing on your gorilla trekking adventure. You’ll then set off into the forest with expert rangers in search of the majestic mountain gorillas.

The trek can last between 2 to 5 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After this unforgettable experience, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch. Afterwards, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
