Gishora Royal drums

After breakfast drive to Gishora. Gishora drum sanctuary, the main royal drum sancturary of thre ancient kingdom of Burundi to perpetuate this tradition. Burundi drums are part of Unesco heritage, used to be the pillar of the political power of the monarchy. They were made and beaten on special occasions by specialized famiies called 'Abatimbo' in important places, announcing great events of the country like the royal enthronment, the sowing festival, the funerals of the kings and it gave the nrythm of regular seasons.

After visiting Gishora drum sanctuary and enjoying a captivating drum performance by skilled drumers, visist Gitega national museum with its collection of art crafts along colonail infrastrure. Its collection includes ethnographic and historical objects originating in the country, including artefacts from the court of the Burundian monarchs.

City tour and Rusizi National Park

On this day you will visit Rusizi National Park for morning boat cruise. The park is the most famous national park in Burundi and reserves at the same time being the most visited of all due to the most enriched wildlife; birds, crocodiles and hippos on river Rusizi. it offers you an excellent opportunity to see the magic meeting point between lake tanganyika and rusizi river. While this tour you'll visit the heroes, historical and colonial monument such as Hero of independence, livingstone and stanley monuments.
